Protecting people and the planet is at the heart of our mission. We believe that a regulated circular economy is vital for responsible consumption. Making the right choices when it came to the product and the packaging was the most important part of the development process.
Packaging
Our bottles use only 100% recycled ocean-bound plastic from the Prevented Ocean Plastic™ programme. This initiative is a fully regulated and traceable recycling management programme which removes discarded plastic from the environment, where it is likely destined for the ocean. The collection radius is specifically within 50km of the coastline. The plastic is collected from locations where the problem is greatest – where recycling infrastructure is inadequate and cannot cope with the amount of waste produced.
Protecting the planet and the vulnerable communities within it is a vital step in combatting the plastic crisis we face. We support a programme which provides fair wages, safe working conditions and personal development opportunities in communities where they so often lack basic human rights.
Our bottles, cap and label are all fully recyclable. We are investing in improving all aspects of our recycled content, as recycled content produces far less co2 emissions and waste than virgin materials.
Our bottles directly address the plastic crisis by reusing materials that have already been produced. We use PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) which is infinitely recyclable, produces less emissions and requires less energy in production, when compared to other materials such as glass, Tetra Pak and aluminium.
Our Water
We source from a British spring located in Cheddar, Somerset. We do not believe in shipping water over water when we have plenty of high-quality natural spring water available in the UK. Our water is high in minerals and filters through organic land.
Shipping
We use cardboard boxes and compostable package filling to fulfil online orders. We work hard to minimise the amount of packaging used and periodically review processes to ensure we are being as efficient as possible to reduce our impact on the planet.
The Future
One of our ongoing missions is to reduce our carbon footprint. We are looking at supporting offsetting initiatives that align with our ethos. We will endeavour to constantly source sustainable materials and implement sustainable practices.
