Our bottles are made using 100% recycled Prevented Ocean Plastic™*. This material is collected along coastlines that are at-risk of plastic pollution. By using this type of recycled material, we are not only protecting the ocean and cleaning up coastlines, but we’re also supporting the creation of recycling programs in places where they don’t exist, which also provides these communities with jobs and reliable income, which enables them to support their families and build a better quality of life.

Many of these locations do not have safe drinking water, so they often drink out of virgin (new) plastic bottles as they don’t have any safe alternative. These bottles are then left to leach into the environment, as there isn’t any recycling infrastructure in place. Due to their proximity to the ocean, these bottles very quickly reach the coastline and become a threat to the ocean and marine wildlife.

We all need to do our bit to protect our ocean. With every breath we take, every drop we drink, we’re connected to the ocean. Our planet as we know it, depends on the vitality of the ocean to support, and sustain it. But threats to the ocean are now so big that more than 40 percent of the ocean has been severely affected.

Over 1 million marine animals and birds are killed each year as a result of plastic pollution.

If we do not make changes, by 2050 the amount of plastic in the ocean could outweigh the fish.
