NEO WTR, Europe’s first ethical spring water brand to use a 100% Prevented Ocean Plastic™ bottle*, is thrilled to announce its new partnership with LONDON PULSE, the UK’s leading professional netball team. By becoming the team’s official water supplier, NEO WTR is committed to keeping the team’s professional players sustainably hydrated, both on and off the court.
On the 15th October, NEO WTR launched its partnership with LONDON PULSE at their Corporate Netball Cup, which was held at London’s iconic Copper Box Arena, located in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The event was held over two days and featured both mixed teams and female teams.
Since England’s gold medal success at the Commonwealth Games in 2018, Netball has enjoyed growing participation figures, with a whopping 1.3 Million now playing netball fortnightly and over 100,000 members affiliated.
London Pulse are continuing pushing the limits of performance for the Netball Super league which they have competed in since 2019 culminating in topping the regular season league in 2023. With London Pulse players representing England Roses and a number of other national squads, this
powerhouse of a team has their sights set on even more success both for club and country Sam Bird, London Pulse CEO and Director of Netball commented: “We are delighted to welcome NEO WTR on board as our official water supplier. Good hydration is vital in a high performance environment such as ours. More than that we are fully committed to ensuring our club is run in as sustainable a way as possible and working with a partner Like NEO WTR that offers such valuable environmental benefits helps us fulfil our environmental goals.”
UK based NEO WTR launched in June 2024 and is Europe’s first drinks brand to use a recycled bottle that is made from ocean-bound plastic, with product listings in both Tesco and Sainsbury’s nationwide. Directly addressing the huge plastic pollution issue that is being faced globally, NEO WTR bottles are made using recycled plastic which has been produced from discarded bottles collected across at-risk coastlines, in a true bottle-to-bottle circular solution that supports ocean protection in the process.
Not only does NEO WTR offer environmental benefits, but the brand is supporting social efforts globally, choosing to source material from the POP™ programme, which offers fair rates of pay and higher standards to local collectors. Money from the programme is invested in building recycling facilities in countries that need them most. Araminta Karol, Marketing Manager at NEO WTR added, “we are looking forward to our partnership
with London Pulse and are glad to be able to support the players, providing them with our ethically responsible British spring water. Healthy hydration is really important when fueling your body, particularly when taking part in sports. We believe that educating consumers in making better decisions regarding the products they are choosing is key to helping tackle the plastic pollution crisis. From making small changes – looking for recycled and recyclable products to supporting products that put people and planet first, we can all help to build a cleaner, greener future”.
